Altos de Luzón 2014 goes up to the podium in Japan, thanks to an exclusive jury of women in the Women's Wine Awards
The wines of Bodegas Luzón continue to achieve success on an international scale.
Altos de Luzón 2016 has just won the Bacchus de Oro and Luzón Colección Crianza, with the silver medal, in one of the most important wine contests in the world, organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters.
The Bacchus awards bring together international expert tasters, including specialized journalists, sommeliers, oenologists, masters of wine and masters of sommeliers, in charge of evaluating and recognizing the quality of wines.
This annual event brings together wines from the five continents given the impact of the contest, which has become one of the main showcases for winemaking.
Bacchus is the only international wine competition, of those held in Spain, which belongs to the World Federation of Great International Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED) as well as being recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV).
In addition, Altos de Luzón 2014 has risen to the podium in the Women's Wine Awards contest in Japan, thanks to an exclusive women's jury.
In the sixth edition of this contest, 4,212 wines from 37 countries have been analyzed by 406 professional experts, including sommeliers, winemakers, journalists and gastronomic prescribers.
This competition has become one of the main launching platforms for wineries that want to enter a market in which having a recognized brand is essential to succeed.
"These three awards are very important because they place Bodegas Luzón in unbeatable positions at the international level", says the general manager of Bodegas Luzón, Francisco Martínez, who added that "for our organization" the most important thing is that our work in the constant improvement of the quality of the wines that we elaborate ".
Bodegas Luzón is one of the largest producers of wine of the Denomination of Origin Protected (PDO) Jumilla and its elaborations have a strong personality and high prestige among experts and consumers.
The winery manages more than 1.200 hectares of vineyards that allow to obtain excellent grapes with which elegant, fruity and friendly wines are elaborated, each time better positioned in the market, as these acknowledgments demonstrate, for their careful elaboration and innovation.
