The Deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Yolanda Fernandez has asked for explanations this morning to the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, about the breach of the motion approved in the Assembly in 2017, for the call for the contest by which new pharmacies in the Region will be established.
Fernandez has shown his satisfaction in getting this issue unlocked, which has been paralyzed in the case of Jumilla plus eight years.
The importance of clearing this call lies, as explained by the parliamentarian, in the benefit it will mean for the most vulnerable people in the municipalities of the Region, who often have to travel far from their homes to access the pharmacy service .
"There are a total of thirty requests for new pharmacy offices, distributed in 18 municipalities of the Region, including Jumilla, which have a favorable resolution and which shows the permanent claim of their mayors and mayors to open to the public" .
Yolanda Fernández highlighted the work developed by the Socialist Parliamentary Group and the Socialist Government Team in the City Council throughout the term to achieve this commitment of the Ministry, which "we hope will be completed within a reasonable period of time, as stated the Minister of Health this morning in the Health Parliamentary Committee. "
The commitment of the Ministry is that of the thirty applications that the regional government is aware of, at the moment, only twelve will go out to tender, among them the Jumilla that will be located in the Fourth District.
"We have asked the counselor, given the time elapsed and the need of the demanding municipalities, to assess the opportunity for all to leave at the same time."
