Work is already underway to expand the Municipal Cemetery, which will involve the construction of 288 new niches and 72 pits.
This is one of the actions of the Works and Services Plan (POS) 2018-19, which will cost 230,000 euros, of which the CARM will contribute 123,500 and the City Council the remaining 106,500.
The works are being carried out by the UTE Construcciones La Vid y Avance and are scheduled to be completed within a month.
The last extension of the Cemetery had been carried out in 2016 with the construction of 80 new niches.
