The Municipal Cemetery of Jumilla has improved in accessibility through a stair lift platform that has been installed in the 1-Enlargement Enclosure so that people with mobility problems have easier to reach this area that has a long flight of stairs.
Users who need to use it will have to contact the staff of the cemetery, so that they are the ones who start it.
The acquisition of this mechanism has cost 14,239.01 euros and has been made through the company Eninter Ascensores SLU.
Councilman of Works and Services, Francisco González, stressed that this is a new step in the elimination of architectural barriers, "in this case in an area where to access had to save more than 50 steps."
It has also adapted a previous ramp to reach the stair lift.
