The Getafe player, Sergi Guardiola, received the Sportsman of the Year award in 2018, while Juan Antonio Artacho was awarded the Adapted Modality Sports Award.
The Club of the Year was for the showcases of FC Jumilla, collected by its vice-president, Benito Abellán.
The most emotional moment of the night was the award of the 2018 Special Mention Award to Francisco Lozano 'Rasina', posthumously, picked up by his son and a good part of his family in the room.
The School of Boys Handball Men took the recognition to the Sporting Gesta and the III Interclubs Tournament of Rhythmic Gymnastics, held in Jumilla last June, collected the Event of the Year Award.
The Veteran Sportsman and Young Promise awards were shared.
The first of them was for the athletes David González and José Luis Monreal and the second for the futsal players Francisco Javier Salar and Lorenzo González.
Bodegas Carchelo picked up the Collaborative Company Award.
Both the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the Councilor for Sports, Juan Manuel García, congratulated and acknowledged the good work of the award-winning athletes.
Juana Guardiola recalled the commitment to the sport of the City through improvements made with different investments and support through different economic agreements and grants.
