Jumilla, December 13, 2018. The jumillana María Isabel Quílez Pérez, is the winner this year of the training grant awarded annually by the Regulatory Council of Protected Denomination of Origin Jumilla Wines, to study the Master of Sommelier and Enomarketing teaches the Basque Culinary Center starting next January 2019.
Student of the Higher Degree in Vitivinculture in the Integrated Center of Training and Agricultural Experiences of Jumilla, María Isabel has been selected by the technical committee integrated by Pilar García-Granero (Coordinator of the Master in Basque Culinary Center), Rosa González de la Aleja (councilor) of Environment and Economic Promotion of the Albacete City Council), Carolina Martínez (secretary general of the Jumilla PDO Regulatory Board), Manuel Miranda (provincial director of agriculture in Albacete) and Fernando Riquelme (President of the Monastrell Kingdom Wine Association).
The winner of last year, Antonia García Bernal, has also attended the process.
All of them have been responsible for choosing the winner among the seven applications submitted by Albacete and Murcia entities, after a pre-selection process developed in each one of them.
The Provincial Association of Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Albacete, the Tourist Qualification Center of Murcia, the School of Hospitality and Tourism of Cartagena and the Integrated Training Center and Agricultural Experiences, CIFEA, Jumilla.
The scholarship is endowed with € 12,000 and includes, both the enrollment in the Master, as an aid for housing and maintenance during the six months of the same.
The Museum of Cutlery of Albacete served as an exceptional framework for the meeting of the technical committee and personal interviews with the candidates presented.
