The Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura is carrying out cleaning work in the bed of the Rambla del Judío, a request that had been made several times from the City of Jumilla in the presence of vegetation and reeds that had already caused a fire.
Specifically, it is acting between the Charco del Zorro and the bridge of the Cieza highway.
Likewise, the Rambla del Morrón is being cleaned as it passes through the hamlet of La Estacada.
Other proposals made on several occasions by the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, to the CHS have been the recovery and cleanup of both the Charco de la Peña wetland in the hamlet of La Raja, and the Dam of Román, in this hamlet, as well as improvements are made in the bridges of the Chicken and the Mills.
On this occasion, the technicians of the CHS and those of the City Council have visited the areas, and the answer will be the possibility that the Confederation will assume the work through the 2019 budget.
The mayor also referred on this matter to the management change of the Segura Hydrographic Confederation.
"Since Mario Urrea is the new president the result of the requests that were being made from the City of Jumilla are repeatedly being different, much better served than previously, since until now we were told that there was no budget and that the consistory who took the actions, the change is important, "said Juana Guardiola.
