On December 10, the International Day of Animal Rights is celebrated and, for this reason, the Association for the Protection and Defense of Animals and Plants (APAP) 4 Patas Jumilla, in collaboration with the Department of the Animal Shelter, commemorates the anniversary with a full week of activities, which start on Tuesday, November 27 and end on Sunday, December 2.
These days the awareness and information intensifies, above all, working with the little ones.
On Tuesday the 27th at the Food Market, a table will be set up to offer information and gather questions, where you can also purchase solidarity items.
For Wednesday 28, starting at 17.30, children's activities have been prepared in the Municipal Public Library with free admission.
In addition, informative talks have been organized in schools for 5th and 6th grade students, where they will talk about abuse with real cases of Jumilla.
On the other hand, the protector 4 Patas, together with Loreto Restaurant, is back to betting on making known the vegan cuisine and consumption habits with products free of animal suffering.
For this reason, on the 30th, starting at 9:00 pm, the Veggie Party will take place, where you will taste delicious dishes such as "chicken curry without chicken with basmati rice" and "tad thai with vegetables, peanuts and lime".
This event will feature live music and raffles.
Tickets can already be purchased at the restaurant for a price of 20 euros.
Finally, the Garrapata Fashion Week will be on Sunday December 2 at the Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola, at 12 o'clock.
The catwalk will deliver lots of gifts to the first classified in the categories "More Cuqui", "Best Costume", "Most friendly" and "Showdog / cat".
The "Garrapata Prize" will also be awarded, a special award to an animal chosen by the members of the protector for being an example of courage, unconditional love or overcoming.
In addition, the public will also choose their favorite participant through the "Audience Award".
The previous inscriptions can be done in the veterinary clinics Mascoticas and Urbano and are priced at 5 euros.
It is also possible to register the same day of the catwalk, from 10.30 am, next to the market that will be installed for the occasion.
The jury will be composed of professionals from veterinary clinics and the councilor responsible for the Municipal Shelter of Abandoned Animals, Pilar Martínez.
