The remodeling works of the Garden of the Arsenal are already underway, which will transform it into the first natural playground of the Region of Murcia, once they finish.
It will fulfill all the requirements to be included in the Guide of Natural Children's Parks of Spain: soil of natural materials, such as sand, bark, grass or earth, avoiding rubber or cement;
play structures made of wood, at least for the most part, and preferably those made with complete trunks of trees;
Neutral or original colors of the material, as well as elements that enhance the development of motor skills.
Children's natural games will be installed such as zip line, wooden walkway, wooden crawling tube, Indian hut, natural balance roller, climbing games and wooden sandbox.
In addition, wooden blocks will be placed so that children can climb.
Likewise, the Archimedes screw water kit will be available, after preparation of the land for drainage and sewerage of the remaining water.
On the other hand, street workout and calisthenics equipment integrated in the natural park will be incorporated.
The works consist, in addition, in the elimination of irrigation by sprinkling, the repair of the curb, recess of the tanks, leveling of the parterre and elimination of old games, as well as the realization of different slopes in the land, similar to dunes of earth, in one of the flower beds.
Likewise, urban furniture consisting of wooden bins and natural stone benches will be placed.
The rehabilitation is being carried out by the company Ingeniería, Agua y Medio Ambiente SL and will cost 58,078.79 euros.
