They have new clothing, a hierarchical operation and more practical through action protocols, being also expected to be incorporated into different training courses in order to get a specialized staff
This afternoon have been presented the new Jumilla Civil Protection projects by the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the area councilor, Francisco Gomez, accompanied by the chief officer of the Local Police of Jumilla, Antonio Luis Mula, who will exercise of technical coordinator, the corporal delegate of the Local Police in Civil Protection, Salvador Gómez, and the coordinator of the group, Salvador García, as well as the councilor for Citizen Security, Eugenio Aguado.
The volunteers already have new clothing and a hierarchical and more practical operation through action protocols and service parts.
It is also foreseen that they will be incorporated into different training courses in order to obtain a specialized staff.
Currently there are about twenty volunteers, although new incorporations will be produced shortly.
Juana Guardiola stressed that "Civil Protection Jumilla had been a benchmark in the Region of Murcia in other times, so reactivate it was a challenge, we are getting, but has not been easy."
He also referred to the merit of his work, "since it is about volunteers, so I appeal to our young people to form this group as an option to work for Jumilla in an altruistic way."
Francisco Bravo has said that the first thing he did when he was appointed councilor is to volunteer to begin the challenge of raising the group.
He has assured that he always keeps in mind a phrase that has been recorded and that says: "When there is nobody, there is Civil Protection".
Antonio Luis Mula has stressed the importance of having "a quality Civil Protection, which I will treat as brothers, as if they were police officers, but always from the point of view of volunteering."
For his part, Salvador García, who will be appointed shortly officially coordinator, has indicated that he trusts his volunteers to "do a good service wherever we go and with adequate training to know how to react in any emergency situation".
