The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, has met with the general director of Roads of the Ministry of Public Works, Francisco Javier Herrero, to explain the situation of the requested access from the A-33 to the Carche road, explaining his concern regarding the financing thereof, requesting their collaboration.

After the meeting, the mayor said that she has found the total willingness of the Ministry of Public Works to facilitate this access.

The general director of Roads, indicated to the mayoress that, "although the Ministry has to authorize this type of links of the roads of autonomic competition with the state ones, something that already is, the competition in the construction of these links is of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia ".

However, he promised to collaborate, starting right now with the drafting of the corresponding project, "if the Ministry of Development has not already done so," he added.

Juana Guardiola thanked the interest and willingness of the Director General of Roads of the Ministry, "because although the competition in this case is exclusively from the Autonomous Community of Murcia, there was previously a unanimous agreement of the Regional Assembly and another in the Commission for the Promotion of the Congress of Deputies, asking that this link be assumed by the Ministry of Public Works, agreement for which until now there was no such predisposition by the Ministry, whereas now it does. Finally, he said that he has made these arrangements, "because it seems unacceptable that the Regional Development Ministry intends that access to the A-33 highway through the Carche road, paid by the Jumillano, with such a proposal clearly detrimental to the pocket of the Jumillans. "

Before the same, the mayor works so that in the coming weeks can reach an agreement between public administrations, which guarantees access to the A-33 and the settlement of the Carche road, leaving solved once, one of the problems that have worried Jumilla so much in the last 20 years.
