After eight years without being convened, the Department of Culture has regained the City of Jumilla Literary Award, which is convened in short narrative mode and verse with a prize of 2,000 euros for the winners.
This is the 32nd edition of the contest and the deadline for submitting the papers will be October 31st.
Each modality will have a single winner, who will receive the amount of 1,000 euros.
The jury will consist of five people who will be appointed by the Culture Committee of the City of Jumilla.
The short narrative works will have a minimum length of 5 pages and 10 maximum, in A-4, Arial font and size 12 to two spaces and one side with numbered pages.
For the verso modality a minimum extension of one hundred verses is required, in A-4, Arial font and size 12 in two spaces and only in front.
The works may be submitted by ordinary mail addressed to the City of Jumilla or by email to biblioteca@jumilla.org.
In any of the two forms of presentation will be sent two files (or envelopes) attached: one with the work (printed by sixfold or in PDF format) indicating title and pseudonym and another with personal data (name, surnames, contact telephone and address of the author, brief curriculum of the author, in addition to the DNI scanned by both sides, as well as a written statement of the author guaranteeing that the rights of the work are not compromised, expressing if it has been presented to another contest. consulted in the municipal website www.jumilla.org.
The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Martinez, has shown his satisfaction, "since there has been much previous work to be able to recover this prize after eight years without being convened, betting again for the literary creation."
