The City of Jumilla, through its mayor, Juana Guardiola, has signed the agreement for the granting of the subsidy planned in the Municipal Budget 2018 with the Association for the Protection and Defense of Animals and Plants 4 Patas Jumilla, which has been represented by its president, Irene Santos, in the presence, in addition, of the councilor of the Municipal Hostel, Pilar Martínez.
The association will receive the amount of 38,000 euros with which the City of Jumilla collaborates with the activities developed by the association in the field of protection and defense of abandoned and stray animals, specifically those related to the care of animals deposited in the Shelter Municipal.
The Association for the Protection and Defense of Animals and Plants 4 Patas Jumilla will be responsible, under this agreement, for the cleaning and maintenance of the animals, adopting the necessary measures to avoid their escape or loss, as well as feeding with adequate feed to age and conditions, remove animals from their compartments twice a day to walk, exercise and play, perform health care through a veterinarian and arrange for the adoption of animals.
They will also carry out activities related to the administration and attention to the public, such as carrying out a database of the users of the Shelter and of the animals that enter and leave it, as well as carry out the necessary orders to carry out the maintenance and conservation of both the shelter and the animals housed.
The association will also launch awareness-raising activities and campaigns.
