Yesterday the Municipal Commission of Elimination of Architectural Barriers met in the City council of Jumilla with the objective of putting in common the different actions to realize this year and that will count on an investment of 30,000 Euros, through a game of the General Budget 2018 with this destination.
The elimination of barriers in the toilets of the Teatro Vico or the installation of pictograms in the municipal buildings were some of the proposals of the Amfiju and Aspajunide associations, which are part of this commission.
Likewise, it is intended to continue with the accessibility works on the sidewalks that are not yet fully adapted, as is the case of Avenida de Yecla.
This is the fourth phase of the Plan for the Elimination of Architectural Barriers that was launched in 2015. Since then, more than 200,000 euros have been invested with this objective through more than 200 actions on the ground, overpasses, adaptation of toilets and gardens , as well as adaptation of public buildings and installation of cranes for people with reduced mobility in the municipal swimming pools.
