Now it will demand responsibilities

IU-Green remembers that a month ago that alerted of the deterioration of the field of natural grass by writing of observation of deficiencies and request of reports (https://iuverdesjumilla.wordpress.com/2018/08/08/posibles-incomplimientos-en- the-service-of-cleaning-and-gardening /).

On August 8, the municipal group requested in writing that a report be made on the state of the natural grass field just two months after the management of the football fields happened to be done by the private company that manages the gardens, being these until then fields of natural and artificial grass and the rest of the sports center managed by the City Council.

In previous dates this municipal group requested the report of reception of facilities at the beginning of the new privatization and nothing has been received, therefore this group will not accept any type of responsibility or investment that is not necessary.

It will therefore be required that any investment be made by the company.

In view of the lack of response and the even greater deterioration of gardens and sports infrastructures IU-Greens will demand the imposition of the corresponding sanctions for the mismanagement of that contract.

A few months ago Izquierda Unida warned of the incredible increase in spending that would not lead to an increase in quality or better management and in just over two months this situation is being corroborated even though it is one of the least hot summers and in the one that the plants have suffered the least.

From an annual total of 57,000 euros that were the salary costs including Social Security of the people who were performing care tasks of the sports center has gone to an annual cost of 184,000 euros which is what has raised the garden contract to add it in this year the cost of the maintenance of several facilities that are fundamentally the sports center, including the fields of natural and artificial grass.

As everyone can understand, the cost and the fundamental need for care corresponds to the field of natural grass since the artificial grass just have to clean it, water much less frequently and fix the sand it has.

The management of the private company is not cheap and for the Jumillano have an easy number to remember say that they are 500 euros per day (184,000 euros per year) which has raised the garden contract by adding the management of the sports field and the pools which is what has basically increased in this last contract.

Izquierda Unida-Verdes also stressed how the new privatization of gardens was a loss of quality of the management of green areas because gardeners with more proven experience have been allocated to green areas on the outskirts of the town that without detracting attention are not areas that require the same care as the field of natural grass or the historic gardens of Jumilla (https://iuverdesjumilla.wordpress.com/2018/04/23/subida-de-mas-de-50-en-la-privatizacion -of-the-gardens-and-deterioration-of-the-quality-of-our-green-zones /)

This municipal group will demand the imposition of the punishment that corresponds to the company for the disastrous management of these months since it is something that corresponds, without doubt, something much more expensive and problematic than the requirement of responsibility to Club Real Murcia for the breakage of a defibrillator

The PSOE government team agreed a few days ago to claim from the Real Murcia CF SAD a compensation amounting to 1,853.84 euros corresponding to the cost of replacing the defibrillator and repairing the damage caused in the facilities of the La Hoya Municipal Sports Center during the celebration of a match of the First Infant category between the Base School of Jumilla and the club of the capital, played last November of 2017. Therefore, since the courteous does not take away the brave, the logical thing would be to demand from whom is flagrantly breaching the duty of maintenance in optimal conditions (and well that charges) the gardens and sports fields of the town.

If in a short period of time these responsibilities are not demanded from the company, the Izquierda Unida-Verdes will demand political responsibility or resignation from the competent councilors (sports and services) as appropriate, apart from which the contract will be canceled and, as we have always claimed, the return to municipal management.
