The students of Infant and Primary Education of Jumilla have started this school year 2018/19.
There have been a total of 2,617 students who have started classes, of which 265 do so for the first time, figures very similar to the previous year.
They are distributed nine different schools, being the CEIP Miguel Hernandez the largest number of school groups with 514. At the other end is the School District of the Cañada del Trigo, which has 9, one more than last year.
The Councilor for Educational Centers, Pilar Martinez, accompanied by the first deputy mayor, Alfonso Pulido, and the Councilor for Works and Urban Planning, Francisco González, have formed an active part this morning of the 'back to school' by visiting the CEIP Miguel Hernández , where they have greeted the students and talked with their teachers.
Pilar Martinez stressed that "normality has been the predominant note in the return to the classroom in the municipality."
Also, he recalled that the City Council have covered during the summer maintenance demands that have transmitted the centers themselves, "with a cost of more than 20,000 euros in paint and blinds, to which we must add the work of bricklayers, electricians , carpenters and plumbers ".
Finally, he recalled that in the center they have visited today will be installed a shadow "since no Jumilla center has been included in the Shadow Plan announced to hype and saucer by the Autonomous Community."
