The Government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Diego Conesa, has committed to Jumilla farmers to act transparently and collaborate with organizations to increase control over possible actions without authorization.
Diego Conesa, through a representation of the Delegation of the Government and the territorial delegate of AEMET, Juan Esteban Palenzuela, who have met with farmers from COAG and FECOAM and with the local mayor, Juana Guardiola, has transferred their disposition to avoid, from the organs of the administration and with the opportune means, any activity that is outside the legality.
The approximately 150 farmers who attended the meeting thanked the Government Delegation for its involvement in this issue, and at a meeting that they described as "necessary and very productive", demonstrated the extreme sensitivity and concern that exists for the possible alteration of the climatic conditions of the zone that the use of these systems could cause and the consequent concern that it generates.
During the meeting, AEMET technicians provided technical information on the different systems, their effects and the reports issued in this regard.
The representatives of the Delegation, who reiterated the commitment of the Government delegate to act with total transparency and transfer all the information that can be generated in this regard, provided all the information that the Segura Hydrographic Confederation has about authorized systems in the present and the reports issued by the different organisms.
The organizers, members of COAG and FECOAM, thanked the Delegation for the first time had come to a call from the sector to meet directly with all farmers and showed their satisfaction for the willingness of the Government to work with full transparency on this issue .
They also requested the increase of the necessary actions for the effective control of all those actions that take place outside of administrative authorizations.
The commitment of transparency transferred by the Government delegate will be extended to all actions and reports that from the various administrations should be taken to control, monitor and avoid actions that are outside administrative authorizations or that, even in some cases, could be criminal , such as the use of anti-hail rocket or possible flights of light aircraft that disperse chemical substances.
Finally, several collaboration formulas were proposed between the sector and the administration that allow an effective exchange of information and a more fluid and permanent relationship.
