The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, attended this morning to Yecla to the presentation of the Leader projects of the Local Action Group of the Northeast by the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Livestock, Miguel Ángel del Amor, and in the presence, in addition, of the mayors of Abanilla, Fortuna and Yecla.
Of the total of 31 development projects presented, eight of them will be carried out in Jumilla, at the proposal of the City Council and amounting to almost 300,000 euros.
It is about the rehabilitation of the Club of the Third Age and social premises of La Alquería, the conditioning of the ground floor of the Market of Supplies as Juvenile Center, the construction of a climbing wall in the La Hoya Sports Center, the renovation of the tourist signage of the helmet urban, the installation of a traffic light for the blind at the intersection of Reyes Católicos avenues and Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, the signaling and enhancement of tourist trails, the creation of an ICT classroom as an infrastructure to support employment, training for the unemployed and support and advice to entrepreneurs, the signage of tourist itineraries in natural spaces and the signaling and enhancement of three homologated small tourist trails.
The Ministry of Agriculture must issue shortly its final authorization that will allow the beginning of the execution of these projects.
The mayor of Jumilla has indicated that "the amount of aid that the established funds are approximately half of the amount of the previous period and that is quite late with the execution of the same, since it is the period 2014-2020 and more than half of it has already elapsed, as soon as we have authorization from the Ministry, we will hire these projects to be able to justify these funds as soon as possible. "
