This morning the seven palm trees of the Paseo Lorenzo Guardiola that come to replace those affected by the red palm weevil plague were planted and could not be recovered.
These are specimens of the species phoenix canariensis with a trunk size of about 2 meters.
On July 4, the previous ones were cut, whose management of remains was carried out in an appropriate manner, with the necessary safety treatment before their total destruction.
The work is being carried out by the INAM company and, as the Councilor for Parks and Gardens has indicated, "its replacement will not entail any additional cost for the City Council".
