Yolanda Muñoz asks that action be taken quickly in the management of the land necessary to start the tender for the works
The Autonomous Community has asked the City of Jumilla "maximum speed and priority" in the management of the land necessary for the execution of the works of integral improvement of the RM-A15, known as the Carche road and connecting Jumilla with Pinoso ( Alicante), and the construction of a link that allows its connection with the highway A-33, which joins Jumilla with Murcia and Valencia.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure, Yolanda Muñoz, has delivered to the Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, the text of the collaboration agreement, in accordance with the agreement reached and signed one month ago in a meeting held between the administrations and the entrepreneurs in the area and that establishes the commitments of the parties involved in the repair of the road.
Muñoz recalled that "last May the regional government involved the City Council and business entities of the Carche in the works of conditioning the road and still do not have the land to start repairing."
The general secretary warned the mayor that "if you do not act quickly in the municipal procedures will not give time to tender the works and 400,000 euros will be lost included this year in the Budget of the Community for this purpose."
"The improvement of this road is very important, because it increases the security of the neighbors, it gives greater exit to all the industry of the wineries and vineyards settled in the area and increases the local and regional economic growth," said the General Secretary of Public Works. .
Investment of seven million euros
The work, valued at 5.1 million euros, will be developed in four sections to improve the first 8.9 kilometers of the road, extending the platform to 9 meters with hard shoulders, and the construction of the link will have a budget of another two million more.
The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure will invest 5.2 million to finance the first two sections of the highway and half the cost of the link;
Jumilla City Council will finance the other half of the link, 1.1 million, and entrepreneurs the last section of the road valued at one million euros.
