The Department of Celebrations has announced today the musical performances planned for the Fair and Festivities 2018, once the Governing Board has approved the dossier that includes concerts plus supplies, assemblies and disassembling of technical structures.
Wizard of Oz, Pasión Vega, Tadeo Jones, Combo Calada and Muchachito are the main musical events planned, to which Luar Na Lubre, a tribute to Sabina and two copla performances aimed at the elders and local groups.
The Wizard of Oz concert will be held on Friday, August 17 at the IES Arzobispo Lozano with tickets at 5 euros (advanced) and 8 euros at the box office.
"It will be the only opportunity to enjoy live in the area of ​​this rock band that celebrates its 30th anniversary tour this year," said the mayor, Pilar Martínez.
Pasión Vega will perform in Jumilla on Wednesday, August 15 with tickets at 15 euros (advanced) and the presentation of his album '40 Carats'.
On the other hand, Combo Calada and Muchachito will share a poster on Saturday the 18th after the Grand Cavalcade of Wine.
The youngest will have the visit of Tadeo Jones on Saturday, August 11 at the IES Arzobispo Lozano with tickets at 5 euros.
It is a musical work based on the popular character that began a few months ago a tour in Madrid and now stop in Jumilla. There will also be a Children's Fair on Wednesday 15 with workshops, music, inflatables and installation of shade.
Luar Na Lubre will be the protagonist of the Velada Folk, scheduled for Sunday August 12 in the Plaza de la Glorieta.
You can also enjoy the concert 500 Nights, a tribute to Joaquin Sabina to be offered on Tuesday 14 at the Plaza del Rey Don Pedro, a concert of local groups on Thursday 16 and an evening of copla to close the holidays on Sunday 19.
