The Mixed Botanical Garden Employment and Training Program was completed today by 15 students who were part of the Youth Guarantee system last September with three months of theory and six months of practice.
The Mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, the Councilor for Economy and Employment, Juan Gil and the Councilor for Citizen Security, Eugenio Aguado, accompanied by the person in charge of the program, Laura López, the head of the Employment Service, Ángel Pérez, and the chief Local Police, Antonio Luis Mula, have visited today several of the work done during the course and have made the delivery of diplomas.
The students have participated in a comprehensive renovation of the Road Education Center, which now has "frame and heart", according to the agent responsible for it, Pascual David Muñoz.
The perimeter of the practice park has been decorated with wheels, which give it greater security.
It also has a new recreation area and more attractive areas for future drivers through the work of pruning, landscaping and redecoration.
The irrigation has been renewed and even decorative cars with recycled material have been created.
On the other hand, they have been in charge of improving the median of Antonio Mañas Street, where they have placed geotextile mesh decorated with stones and, in addition, they have transplanted several trees.
They have also acted in the Paseo de los Rosales and Plaza de Los Cipreses in the hamlet of La Estacada where pruning and maintenance was done, as well as in several avenues of the city.
In the Príncipe Felipe School they reconstructed the ecological garden in which they installed colored fences and made new planting, after the preparation of soil act for cultivation and adaptation of the irrigation system.
It has even included a scarecrow built through recycled tires.
