The Department of Social Policy and Equality of the City of Jumilla, through a grant of 9,786 euros from the Ministry of Family and Equality and co-funded by the European Social Fund, will start up again for the next school year the service of time extension to support the reconciliation of work and private life.
On this occasion, in addition to the Colegio Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion, it will also be offered at the Cruz de Piedra Concerted Center.
The service consists in enabling a classroom so that, from 7 am to 9 am (entering the school) and from 1 pm to 3:30 pm (in the month of September) and from 2 pm to 3:30 pm during the rest of months, minors can stay in school, assisted by specialized staff to cover all their optimal needs.
In principle it is planned for the first quarter at the Cruz de Piedra Center and until March 2019 in La Asunción.
"The main objective is to provide families with a resource so they can reconcile their working hours and the care and attention of their children," said the councilor of the area, Salvi Pérez.
The Government Board held last Monday accepted the grant and approved the project for the implementation of this service.
