A person has been arrested as an alleged perpetrator of a continuous crime of robbery with force
Accedía to the houses by escalo when the owners were outside
Neighbor of the area, took advantage of this circumstance to monitor the homes
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation LEZAR, an investigation framed in the 'Plan against theft in homes' that has resulted in the arrest of a person in Jumilla and with the clarification, so far, of six crimes of robbery with force in houses of the municipality.
Last March, agents of prevention of citizen security of the Benemérita initiated the investigation with the purpose of clarifying several robberies in houses of the municipality of Jumilla, facts that had generated some social alarm in the population.
The first inquiries allowed to verify that the robberies had been committed in a short period of time, in the same neighborhood, with the same modus operandi: by escalo and taking advantage of the absence of their owners.
These inquiries made it possible to establish a profile of the suspect: young and with a certain agility and skill to climb and access the dwellings, without causing apparent damage, to extract, generally, cash.
One of the houses was assaulted twice in the same month
The coincidence in the modus operandi, the proximity of the affected dwellings, one of which was assaulted twice in the same month, as well as the main objective of the thefts in cash made it suspect that it could be the same person with some experience in the criminal area.
The investigators investigated until they identified a neighbor in the area with a history of crimes of the same nature that was emerging as the main suspect in the crimes investigated.
Once the necessary information has been compiled, the Civil Guard has requested the corresponding entry and registration order from the domicile, in Jumilla, where a 35-year-old man, Spanish and with a bulky criminal record, has been arrested as an alleged perpetrator of, at least, six robberies with force in homes.
Apparently, and as follows from the investigation, the now detained controlled the absence of the residents to climb the walls of courtyards or climb the facades, for which he used the exterior pipes of the buildings.
The arrested and the proceedings have been made available to the Juzgado de Instrucción No. 1 of Jumilla.
