The asphalting works of the Camino de Alicante, which links the Ronda de los Franceses with the Carretera de El Carche, are already underway.
It was "one of the priority objectives of this legislature," as commented today in his visit to them the mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, and the councilor for Economy and Agriculture, Juan Gil.
The works are being assumed with the Jumilla City Council's own funds through the Treasury remnants and are being carried out by the local company Riegos Ago for an amount of 36,935.25 euros.
It consists of placing three layers of asphalt emulsion irrigation in the more than two kilometers that this road has, "which will make it durable over time," as pointed out by the mayor of the area.
The works are scheduled to finish in just over a week.
The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, stressed that "it is a very busy road daily for people who live in nearby areas and others who go to their places of work, so we had been remodeling for some time after several years in a state of deterioration. "
