This morning the Jumilla Police Mediation Unit (UMEPOL) was presented in the presence of the mayor, Juana Guardiola, the local police councilor, Eugenio Aguado, the chief police officer, Antonio Luis Mula and the lieutenant-commander of the Guardia Civil, Jesús Gil, as well as the corporals responsible for this new service, Salvador Gómez and David Morote.
This is one of the first mediation units that are launched in the Region of Murcia and aims to help citizens to resolve in the best possible way and faster conflict situations that may arise from daily coexistence for avoid that they end up in long criminal or administrative processes.
The service is free, 24 hours and can be requested by contacting the Local Police by any means.
A care office has been established in the Youth Council (Plaza del Rey Don Pedro, 9), as indicated in the presentation, "in order that the mediation is carried out discreetly and confidentially, outside the facilities of Police Headquarters. "
The heads responsible for the service, David Morote and Salvador Gómez, have received the corresponding training at the School of Innovation of the Ministry of the Presidency of the Region of Murcia.
The mayor of Jumilla, Juana Guardiola, said that "the implementation of this service is very good news, for the interesting work that will develop in the face of citizenship."
