The 8th Solidarity March "Ladra, walk and learn" has a date: it will be Sunday, May 6.
To participate in the excursion, which every year allows hikers to spend a morning of coexistence walking the dogs of the Municipal Shelter of Abandoned Animals, you have to enroll in Clinic Urbano and Mascoticas (4 euros) or the same day of the march in the hostel door from 9h (5 euros).
Participants will receive a backpack with lunch, consisting of juice, cheese sandwich, water, nuts and fruit;
that they will be able to enjoy in the esplanade of the Castle, point of stop also so that the animals can drink water in the enabled points.
The departure from the Municipal Hostel is scheduled at 10am, but it is recommended that people who walk the animals start collecting them from 9.30h.
It should be noted that it is also possible for participants to take the tour with their own animals.
The objective of this morning of coexistence, organized by the Association for the Protection and Defense of Animals and Plants (APAP) Cuatro Patas Jumilla in collaboration with the Department of Municipal Shelter of Abandoned Animals, is that animals can enjoy, at least once a year, a happy morning in an outdoor setting receiving the love of hikers.
"In addition, it is possible to give visibility to the large number of wonderful animals that are in the facilities waiting for a home," they indicate from the organization.
As for the recommendations, remember that it is very important to respect the safety distances between animals in the moments of agglomeration to avoid conflicts between them on such a happy day, and at the same time stressful for them, since they have been waiting a long time for this excursion.
It is also important to remember to wear comfortable clothes, a hat or sun protection.
Although the route will end around midday, to avoid the hottest hours.
The organization also remembers that the majority of animals that reside in the lodge are of medium and large size.
From APAP de Jumilla encourage to collaborate with the Municipal Shelter of Abandoned Animals making happy the dogs that live in it and remember that, in 2017, the association took care of 269 dogs and 63 cats.
