Since a few months ago are carrying out some restoration work and recovery on the top floor of the Museum of Ethnography Jerónimo Molina de Jumilla, located in the Plaza of the Constitution.
These works, which should definitely be completed before the end of this June, with a total budget of 194,800 euros, 120,000 euros of which are provided by the Commonwealth Travel Services in the Northeast (where the City Council makes its annual contribution) and the rest from a contribution from the Ministry of Culture.
This work, which is conducting the company Euloman SL, whose architect was Joaquín Pérez and surveyor John Simon Ruiz, consist of a complete revamp of the top floor and attic recovery.
As reported by John Simon, "has returned to rebuild a loft that existed in the museum, which was demolished because it was very bad."
This loft is used as a reading room.
Furthermore, the entire roof was removed, have been replaced new clubs, recovering existing walls, cleaning, sanitizing and making them to plaster.
As for the sticks and covers whole have changed, and the hurdles, earth and stone beneath the roof tiles have been removed, placing a sandwich panel with insulation and a system to prevent moisture and above the tile.
The whole project includes the renovation of the plant, where to house the butterfly exhibition, with the extension of a light-controlled room, location of office to museum management, laboratory preparation of insects for display and storage area for those insects to keep them in good working temperature.
Finally, it is glazed windows, lighting and placement of the vinyl floor that is as similar to the Children's Room of the Library.
