The Government Delegate and the Mayor of Jumilla inaugurate several works of Local Investment Fund (27/11/2009)

The City Council held 8 performances rated at 4.3 million euros to generate 145 new jobs

The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Jumilla, Francisco Abellán, inaugurated this morning three works of Local Investment Fund of the municipality, which involves an investment of 1,138,570 euros and generated 43 jobs direct.

The works consisted of the functional rehabilitation of the Casa de la Cultura José Yagüe (218,172 euros), which has replaced the ground floor and first floor, and the lining of the various existing stairs in the building.

Also the toilets have been renovated, carpentry, glazing and painting and humidity have been deleted in the garden area.

Finally, the building has been converted to house a new children's reading room.

Subsequently, the Government Delegate and the Mayor of Jumilla inaugurated the new building for the Promotion of Business Development in the area (703,839 euros).

This new building has been implemented in such a way that will accommodate future needs for office space that is demanded in terms of activity projects that run on it.

It also has spaces to accommodate different social groups.

Finally, they have launched a new Municipal Animal Shelter (216,558 euros).

This is a development facility care and handling of animals of the canine and feline species.

The plot has a total area of 1,333 square meters and gutter with an area of housing and recreational animals and other administrative, in the second there are offices and toilets, nursing, grooming of animals, storage and first aid.

The work opened today in addition to two others, opened last September, as were the "Extension of the Municipal Botanical Garden" and "Two roundabouts on the Road to the French."

The Government delegate recalled that Jumilla has received the EUR 4,353,203 Government of Spain for 8 projects of the Local Investment Fund that are generating 145 jobs, of which 124 are newly created and 21 persons within enterprises awarded.

González Tovar has also reported that the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability to be invested in 2010, will involve a further economic boost for the city of 2,740,305 euros.

"Overall, has clarified the Government Delegate, Jumilla Spain's government receives more than 7 million euros in two years: the largest investment by any government in Jumilla in such a short time and which clearly reflects the will of the President municipalist Zapatero. "
