A total of 72 works have been submitted to XXXI literary prize 'Ciudad de Jumilla "The jury chair Lorenzo Silva, Premio Nadal 2000 (20/11/2009)

A total of seventy-two works have been submitted to XXXI Literary Award "Ciudad de Jumilla", organized by the Department of Culture and a jury will be chaired by writer Lorenzo Silva, Premio Nadal in 2000.

In this work, forty-five correspond to the short story mode and twenty to the form of verse.

The origin of these is almost all Spanish regions, as well as other countries like Germany and Holland.

The jury for this year will consist of Mari Carmen Alonso, professor of IES Arzobispo Lozano, Vicente Gómez, a professor of elementary education, Evaristo José Carrión, winemaker and José Luis Ortiz Professor at IES Infanta Elena, was secretary of the José Luis González Olivares Chief Municipal Archives and Library and serving as its president in the figure of the writer Lorenzo Silva.

Lorenzo Silva is a novelist, columnist, essayist and lawyer born in Madrid Spanish.

He studied law at the Complutense University, working as an auditor and tax consultant before turning fully to literature.

He has published essays, travel writing and travel writing (2000) and Del Rif to Yebala.

His work has been translated into Russian, French, German, Italian, Greek, Catalan and Portuguese.

Literary Award "Ciudad de Jumilla" is worth 6,000 euros for the short story mode and 1,500 euros for the form of verse and its verdict will be announced next May, which marks the beginning of a week activities that revolve around books and literature, which will be presented to the winners in last year
