Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán and Councillor for Economy and Employment Jesus Sanchez reported on various grants and aid provided by the Employment and Training Service (SEF), which will involve the recruitment of unemployed persons.

One of the most substantial agreements is intended for the Municipal Issuer Workshop, and promotion of local communications.

This workshop is an amount of 101,340 euros and through him are going to hire five people, including three speakers, a sound engineer and a journalist to begin October 1 for a period of nine months.

In this workshop, the Mayor has indicated that "has already been done the previous months with a very positive result, since it allowed the recruitment of unemployed people with expertise in media and what led to the revival of the local radio station."

Similarly, the SEF has granted Jumilla a course of training of technical aid in solar thermal installations.

The amount is 31,500 euros and is for unemployed workers, with a total of 250 hours and a number of 15 students selected by the SEF.

They have also received aid for operating expenses of local development agency totaling EUR 5,819 and a grant for a local development officer for the conservation of the environment as an economic engine, the amount is 27,045 euros.

"This will be done for a period of one year and is intended to start from October 1 and ends September 30, 2010.

Prompt a person a degree in Environmental Science and depend on the Department of Environment of the City, "said Jesus Sanchez.

Another aid is for the development and promotion of tourism and its staff, amounting to 58,705 euros.

The agreement is meant for two technicians, a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Guide with the appropriate title.

In this case it will be for nine months.

And finally, it has been granted by the SEF, the agreement to support the policies of Social Services for $ 27.

957 euros.

Also beginning on October 1 until June 30, 2010.

Would be to hire a technician with Diploma in Social Work.

All activities will begin in early October, all recruits will be full time and will be selected by the Employment and Training Service.

Despite the granting of aid and agreements, as noted by Francisco Abellán "is not everything we asked, because we also ask for an Employment Workshop (amounting to between 500,000 and 600,000 euros), one of the most important that would have allowed training and employment for people between 25 and 45 years and that most municipalities have been granted again. "

In this sense we will continue to reiterate the request of the Workshop on Employment.

Finally, the mayor added that "in the month of June also granted extensions of the agents of Local Employment Development and Tourism and vocational guidance (OPEAS).
