The House urges the Autonomous Community to sign the agreement for the implementation of 016, care for victims of domestic violence (28/07/2009)

Councilwoman Women's Fuensanta Olivares explained that the national government has approved the National Plan for Awareness and Prevention of Violence against Women, as well as a list of urgent measures in this matter, among others, the 016 telephone service and information advice appropriate to the personal situation of victims of domestic violence throughout the country.

Olivares said that this is a service that will be attended by 15 professionals, with 24-hour service, free and confidential "This initiative adds to the work of each region", said the mayor of Women.

For its part, the spokesman for IU-LV José Antonio Pérez argued supported the motion noting that "this service is given a more specific treatment and close on these issues and we think it appropriate to ask the Autonomous Community to sign this agreement for the implementation of 016 ".

Finally, Alicia Abellán, as a spokesperson on this issue municipal PP group, explained that "overlap with this service resources and the Region of Murcia and has the 1-1-2, so we feel a loss of time and resource that has no utility. "

In this sense, the Women's council said that "precisely what is intended is that there are more resources to address both the victims of this violence, including family and friends."

On the other hand, unanimously approved a motion of the PSOE to join the initiative to promote the establishment of the Sports Day in Europe.

It is a proposal of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Councillor for Sports, José Luis Monreal said it would be "a day of union between fans and athletes and a way of promoting the sport."

The socialist municipal group filed another motion on the full outstanding conclusion last Thursday of the month.
