A month and a half cahorrita rescued from a pit of sewage (29/06/2009)

As luck would have a puppy for a month and a half could be rescued from the pit where wastewater was trapped.

Katherine, a young woman from Jumilla, went for a walk her dog along the esplanade adjacent to the Polideportivo Municipal de la Hoya in which there are wells, tanks and sewage pipes.

Katherine listened to mourn a dog in the background and sought help from the Humane Jumilla to remove it.

Association members rushed to the scene and, after giving notice to the Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia, about 21.30 a precious puppy went well in the arms of one of the firefighters.

This is a mastiff cross only a month and a half and his health was good, although the logical shock yet.

The dog is in charge of the Association 4 feet and has entered the adoption plan for abandoned dogs because, since the association does not believe that the dog came alone to this area difficult to access for a puppy so small.

Believe it could have been left there on purpose or, as in some other occasion, a child who would not let him have it at home would have sought a refuge regardless of who was in danger of falling into the well.

The facility in which the dog was picked up sewage that fell very close to where he was, in a small space between the wall and poured the water of salvation.

The dog has been called Bombi, in memory of the group Jumilla Fire Station who carried out the rescue.

The Association 4 Legs regret what happened in full beginning of one of the moments with the highest number of dropouts from animals of the year because certifies the reality of everyday life in the city, the wholesale abandonment of hundreds of animals a year and, in many cases, with the aggravating circumstance of abuse and cruelty.

4 Legs pulled out of the street between September 2008 and April 2009 left 150 dogs, mostly puppies.

They were lucky, as Bombi, but stressed that hundreds die in kennels or in the street.
