Nearly 300 people participated in the workshops at People's University (17/06/2009)

On Monday inaugurated the exhibition of some of the work done in the shops of the People's University 'Ana Tomás' of Jumilla.

These courses involving a total of 281 students, of whom 277 were women and 4 men.

A total of 23 workshops have been developed and they have produced hundreds of jobs.

Some of these works will be on display until June 25 in the exhibition hall of the CAM.

Among the courses that have been carried out, was a painting on canvas by the hand, a course of Tapestries and Macramé, Rolls, Pottery, Dressmaking, Drawing and Painting, Crafts, Memory Enhancement, Restoration and workmanship , among others.

The opening of this exhibition attended Women Councilwoman Fuensanta Olivares, and many of the students attending, the monitors and the coordinator of the firm Local Initiatives.

Olivares Fuensanta congratulated all participants for their work, and the instructors who conducted the workshops.

Councilwoman Women also recognized the work of the firm Local Initiatives, "which together with the Government and council have given a boost to the University to ensure the development of the scheduled workshops."

He thanked the predisposition of the classroom culture of CAM for giving facilities for the exhibition.

For Olivares, "The challenge should be to ensure that men are encouraged to participate more in these activities, which as some of them are taking part."

Following the opening of the exhibition, held a fashion show where they showed part of the work in the sewing workshop.
