Jumilla City Council signed an agreement with Civil Protection in the amount of 80,000 euros (08/06/2009)

Jumilla City Council formalized the annual agreement with the Association of Civil Defence Volunteers.

This agreement has an economic value of 80,000 euros and is intended to perform different actions on the part of the group.

The agreement was recently signed by the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán and President of the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers Juan Lozoya.

At the signing, also attended the council of Civil Protection, Primitivo Gonzalez.

Jumilla Mayor said that the will of the government team is to continue participating and collaborating with the Association of Volunteers, so that all citizens can directly or indirectly benefit from their services. "

So Civil Protection will continue to develop forest monitoring service, logistics service, the elderly Transport Services Center Senior Day, the Local Operations Coordination Center, CECOPAL (or terminal 1-1-2) and Municipal Ambulance Service.

As for Forest Monitoring Service, is committed to providing the services included in the Plan Infomur, laying down the procedures for action on prevention, detection and extinguishing forest fires.

Civil Protection is also committed to form a logistics support group in the city capable of providing supplies to certain persons involved in an emergency.

As for the Transportation Service is committed to provide this transportation service for the elderly Day Care Service of the IMAS by two volunteers: a driver and a passenger, in morning and afternoon shifts.

In addition the Association of Civil Protection will play a monitoring and surveillance service in public places, ensuring that citizens have a civic responsibility, and to provide cooperation on matters of assistance, information and any other needs requiring citizens.

About the Local Operations Coordination Center (CECOPAL), Terminal 112, this service will be covered by an operator command and control of the terminal, which is daily service from Monday to Sunday, 8:00 to 22:00 and throughout the year.

These operators control all emergencies occurring in the town of Jumilla and coordinating the activities of all local emergency services.

The total amount of the agreement signed, the City of Jumilla provides 58,370 euros and 21,630 euros subsidizes CCAA, for a period of time until December 2009.
