The Department of Women is developing two courses on the management of women's associations (04/06/2009)

Associations within the area of women in the Women's Department, have begun to develop two courses on "Management of women's associations."

The development of these arises from the demands of some women interested in this subject, and they are intended to inform the attendees partnership working mechanisms, knowledge of legislation, doubt and conflict resolution, project of Grant ... in short, to promote knowledge and autonomy of work in all local women's associations.

The courses last 12 hours and are aimed at the boards of the various women's associations.

The first, which is taking place in the Women's Center located in Granary Street, began last June 1 and is scheduled to end on June 17, the second being developed in the district of Encebras, began on June 2 and will close on 18 June.

Each of the courses are attended by 15 women from different associations.

Some women who are part of the boards of the various associations of local women: Association of Women and Family Support, Fibromyalgia Association, Women's Group Alqueria, Rural Women's Associations of Encebras, Torre del Rico and Fuente del Pino and Women Association of Soil and Water Jumilla.

Also, since the area of partnerships in the Women's Department, in coordination with the Federation of Rural Women of Murcia (FADEMUR) have organized a series of workshops on "Gender and fabric painting" to be performed with various women's associations of the town and the head offices of the same.

These workshops are intended to clarify the concept of violence, indicators of violence and mostly clear where to go in case of aggression.

All this is discussed in a pleasant, open to debate and through a creative activity that allows the involvement of students in a relaxed and conversational.

The workshops have a duration of 2 hours and held at time of 18.00 to 20.00h., The inscriptions are responsible for women's associations directly, so that any questions should be directed to them.

The maximum number of attendees is 15 per workshop.

The associations have confirmed their participation and implementation schedule of these workshops are: hamlet Fuente del Pino (2 and 4 June), village of Alqueria (June 10), a hamlet of Encebras (June 11) and hamlet Torre del Rico (July 2).

Other associations are interested Fibromyalgia Association and Association of gender violence Soul publicized upcoming workshop dates.
