The Department of Environment of the City of Jumilla has prepared a program of activities to commemorate the World Environment Day which falls on June 5.
The program of events was presented by the Mayor and Councillor for the Environment Francisco Abellán and support technician Ana Dolores Guardiola.
This will take place from 27 May to 3 June.
The aim of this campaign is to motivate people to become active agents of sustainable development and promote cooperation.
The City of Jumilla, in its commitment to the environment has organized these activities focused on creating a common area, sustained over time, that will identify, develop and environmental concerns will be resolved.
The campaign slogan is "For you, for him," explained Francisco Abellán and it has been implicated in "schools, colleges, the social work of the Caixa, the CAM and the joint venture Aguas de Jumilla".

On May 27 there will be a visit to the recycling plant Caudete glass and in the afternoon from 20:30 Joaquín Araujo offer, in the CAM, a lecture on "Why we must preserve the environment ".
There will be a tour on May 30, the Hoya de la Sima and Celia mines, departing at 9:30 Abastos market.
In the afternoon, starting at 19:30 there will be a concert by the hand of the Association Friends of Music Jumillano entitled "Music for the Planet" which will take place at the Botanical Garden of Pueblo Nuevo.
On June 1, from 9.30 in April Patras Association will hold a conference entitled "In Search of a second chance."
That same day, at 20.00 hours, there will be another conference "Juncellus, 23 years defending Jumilla Environment."
On 3 June, activities will begin at 9.30 am with a Storyteller "The Green Goblin" and that afternoon, Hinneni group will give a talk on "The sport of adventure and the Environment" and will screen two documentaries.
Finally, the day will be held June 5, from 10:00, environmental workshops in the Paseo Poet Lorenzo Guardiola.

Work and projects in the area of Environment
