Teresa Moreno Jumilla assists in the presentation of the first association of women against gender violence (12/05/2009)

The director of the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia, Teresa Moreno, attended yesterday in Jumilla at the official presentation of the women's association "Alma", created by a group of friends and colleagues of Maria Angeles Garcia, girl killed by her couple in July 2007.

Teresa Moreno expressed his support for this new partnership and said it was "the first in the Region of Murcia created exclusively for the care of women victims of gender violence."

The responsible regional also stated that "initiatives such as this help to eradicate a social problem that affects us all, while encouraging us to take an active role and commitment to help victims and report possible cases of abuse."
