In order to bring the museums to society in a playful way, the Department of Culture has organized a series of activities marking the International Museum Day is celebrated on 18 May.
In this way on Saturday 16 and Sunday May 17 from 11:00 to 14:00 will be guided tours and educational workshops for children.
Will be in the Municipal Archaeological Museum.
In these workshops will be held Roman and medieval games, with projected animated film, experiments and demonstrations of how the lighthouse of Alexandria.
Participants also will rebuild the great library of Alexandria, will explain the process of making books of papyrus and radio will hear a paper on aspects of that culture.
The councilman of Culture Joan Guardiola has invited all to participate in these activities, especially the smaller ones, in which it seeks to highlight the importance of heritage and museums.
In addition, on Tuesday, May 19 at 12:00, also on the Day of Museums, will be the presentation of "Coimbra", in the Museum of Archaeology.
