Jumilla hosts a conference on road safety education with the participation of more than 1,600 children (05/05/2009)

Jumilla hosts, since the end of last April to 14 May, a conference on road safety education in which they will engage more than 1,600 children.

They are organized by the Department of Public Safety and the Department of Education.

The presentation of this activity took place last week in the hand of Francisco Abellán Jumilla mayor, Councilman Primitivo González Public Safety and the Chief of Police Local Antonio Luis Mula.

In terms of traffic, Francisco Abellán announced that it has applied for a grant to the Ministry of Public Administration, Country Planning now, for the proposed construction of a building or permanent Centre for Road Safety.

"This aid would be included within the line of grants for projects related to the participation of civil society, as was granted last year to build the multipurpose building groups," the highest local authority.

The proposed grant can be up to 50% of the project and the project amounts to approximately 300,000 euros in its entirety.
