On Saturday, Jumilla Vico Theatre hosted the event for the appointment as "Honorary Nazarene 2009 'Spiteri Eduardo Sanchez.
The event was attended by numerous semanasanteros, various authorities and many friends and relatives of the honoree.
Spiteri Eduardo Sanchez is a person who has worked for Easter for decades.
In fact part of the Central Board of the Brotherhood since 1977, currently is president of the brotherhood of the Kiss of Judas, which was one of those responsible for his foundation.
At this time was the brother of other guilds and has held various positions in the Central Board.
Edward Spiteri, in his speech, thanked the appointment and he turns to his father, his wife and children.
The 'Honor Nazarene 2'009' received as a souvenir by the president of the Central Board of the Brotherhood, José Carrión, an oil painting by Bartolomé Medina with the image of Judas Kiss.
Prior to this appointment, the event, hosted by Lola Thomas, was opened by the Central Board Chaplain, Father Jorge Oliva, and secretary, Antonio Verdú was asked to read the instrument of appointment.
For its part, Juani Riquelme made a semblance of the honoree.
After the time of appointment and delivery of memories, the Mayor of Jumilla Francisco Abellán closed the first part of the act.
The second part of the ceremony featured a performance of Quartet Almus, who played 'The Seven Last Words of Christ on the cross.
