Abellán: "we will not provide, or permit any administrative proceeding if the Ministry does not build the second health center" (20/02/2009)

Jumilla Mayor Francisco Abellán has shown strong before the confirmation from the Ministry of Health on building a new Specialty Center, "the City will not undertake, facilitate, or allow any process if not built the second Health Center, which is the commitment they made to us when we sold the land. "

The maximum local authority states that "the autonomous region that we want to fool with Specialty Center, stating that provide various services, but they are the same as those that account the current center, located on Calle Barón del Solar," says Abellán who adds "This is about changing the downtown site without increasing the health workforce, we are not able to sell a specialty center as a health center."

"They do not build the Integrated Health Center, and thus saving doctors, nurses and orderlies, do not double the health workforce that is what you need and allow Jumilla continue having an overload of patients at each visit," adds Abellán.

The mayor also notes that "Jumilla need that new Health Centre and more health personnel, there are currently more than 2,000 cards to physicians and more than 27,000 cards in total (as it caters to people who are not registered), so the service is saturated. "

From the Department asserts that Jumilla not have sufficient population to create two areas of health, in this sense, the highest local authority has indicated that "if 25,000 people is not a sufficient population, 27,000 cards in total and the 2,000 medical primers are not an alarming percentage, we do not know to where to go. "

"The reality is that the Public Health Service in the Region of Murcia is stunted, without a drive to serve the citizens of mismanagement and not do the center," said the mayor.

Francisco Abellán reportedly already requested a meeting with the Minister of Health will attend along with the spokespersons of the city.
