With a talk and exhibition on embroidery I have begun Craft Workshops taking place in Jumilla.
The work shown, a total of 60 are Elena and Rosa Guardiola, the company 'Frame'.
The exhibition will be on view until February 20 at the Artisan's House, from 10:00 h.
to 13:30 pm and 16:30 to 20:00 h.
Tuesday to Saturday.
About this talk and the exhibition, Ildefonso Jimenez, Commerce and Handicrafts councilman said that "it has been shown to be handmade embroidery is a way of life and could very well be a business."
Jiménez added that 'frame' is a company dedicated to machine embroidery, "these women have made a new art form because it combines the work of a craftsman with innovation."
Among other works, these artisans have produced lots of embroidery and shields for some guilds Jumilla.
As the Days of Crafts, Jiménez said that "with these activities is to encourage and promote local crafts."
Activities continue on Friday, February 7 at 11:30 pm, with a talk about the oil mill and visit the Family House.
Already on Friday February 20 will be held at the Artisan's House, at 20:00 pm, there will be a talk on the esparto and an opening of an exhibition of straw.
