The Government delegate in Jumilla has eight projects worth 4.3 million euros financed by the Government of Spain (02/02/2009)

The splitting of the Highlands Highway and its connection to Jumilla, be drafted in late February.

The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Jumilla, Francisco Abellán Martínez, presented this morning the 8 projects to be undertaken in the municipality under the Local Investment Fund, which will involve a total investment of 4, 3 million euros and the creation of 119 jobs.

González Tovar noted that these actions have been selected by the municipal government team due to their needs, while the Government of Spain has agreed to finance in full if it satisfies the requirement of creating jobs.

Four of the projects submitted under the "Actions in urban environments or public spaces and industrial promotion, most notably the project to broaden access to the Castle, which aims to improve the movement of vehicles, including a bike path or pedestrian area and the adequacy of the upper concourse.

Its budget is 1,232,164 and 21 jobs will require.

Other projects in the same category include:

- The extension of the Botanic Garden to an extension of 15,600 m2, conditioning the pine forest south side halls, playgrounds and sports channels, with a budget of € 162,890.59 and the creation of 5 jobs.

- Industrial Buildings Civil Works for Development of Enterprise Development, which includes the creation of a building that will occupy the plot 35 of the Romerales industrial estate with an investment of € 703,838 and creating 20 jobs.

- Conditioning and lighting of the road to Santa Ana in the chapel of St. Augustine to the Roalico, in the town of Jumilla, with a cost of 1,550,712 and the creation of 32 jobs.

The Government delegate noted that the four remaining projects under the heading "Buildings and social facilities, health, educational, cultural and sports", among which are:

Draft Municipal Animal Shelter, which will take place the care and handling of animals of the canine and feline species, amounting to € 216,924.56 and the provision of 20 jobs.

Valued memory for functional rehabilitation of the "Casa de la Cultura José Yagüe", worth € 218,171.93 and 7 jobs.

Private Project for the interior furnishings of the rotunda of the French Camino Avenue San Jo, with a diameter of 50 m and the total area of 1,964 m² condition, amounting to € 129,091.46 and the creation of 7 jobs.

Private project for the interior furnishings of the Rotunda of the Way of the French in Goya street for a total of € 138,919.80 and the creation of 7 jobs.

The Government representative stated that "the will of the Government of Spain is to create jobs and stimulate economic activity in Jumilla, and in general all municipalities.

To this end, a fund has almost over seven hundred thirteen million pesetas available to the City Council, which will undoubtedly result in improved quality of life of citizens of this county at a time that is crucial. "

Motorway Altiplano

On the other hand, Rafael González Tovar noted that work on the Highlands Highway march apace, as has already occupied the land needed for the stages I and II, both in execution and therefore expected to be completed before expected.,

Tranche I, White Abarán has this year allocated an amount of EUR 2.183 million and completion is expected in April 2011, while Section II of Abarán to Jumilla, has an EUR 2.338 million financing and is expected to put into service in late 2010.

With regard to Section III of Jumilla Yecla, the construction project is in writing, allowing the immediate tendering of the works.

and has an annual budget of 72.4 million euros.

With respect to Section IV of Yecla to Caudete, the construction project is in preparation and will soon come to public information, and the last of them, and Section V between Fuente la Higuera Caudete is currently under construction.

The Government delegate pointed out that this highway will have a total length of 76.45 km and its bidding base budget amounts to 214.534 million euros.

He also reported that the proposed widening of Highway N-344 with a link to the motorway and connection with the Altiplano de Jumilla-Venta del Olivo, will be drafted later this month to carry out the bidding of the works .

Have a length of 5 kilometers, represents an investment of 10 million euros and will serve not only as access to the town, but also as a section of connection between two highways, the aforementioned A-33 and is promoting the Autonomous Community links Jumilla-Venta del Olivo.

Tovar Gonzalez reiterated that it is "a work that will have significant benefits for the economy of the area, with a significant improvement in security, connection time and quality of the communications of its citizens with the rest of the region and other regions ".
