'Correspondents Youth is a regional pilot program, launched by the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia and the Department of Youth Jumilla City Council to inform young people and serve as liaison with groups, associations and institutions.

In Jumilla and fully operational this figure of "Youth Correspondent" in the person of Jose Javier Soriano and through the service launched in the Secondary School Archbishop Lozano.

For it has been installed in the center of a Youth Information Point.

This student is responsible for the information transfer topics of interest to youth.

Youth Councilman José Luis Monreal has stressed the importance of this figure because it "will serve as a means of transmission among young people and their concerns and solutions we can offer from the council."

This program involves various ministries, universities, municipalities, through the Department of Youth and the Centers Informajoven and different institutes, libraries and museums in the region.

Youth correspondents are young students, intercultural mediators or guides who are primarily responsible for informing young people of calls, resources and activities that might interest them.

Correspondent function is to inform, Informajoven coordinated with their municipality and the Institute for Youth, all matters that may be of interest to young people, leisure, youth accommodation, scholarships and grants, studies, work addresses interest, publications, etc.

The Institute has an office occupied by the correspondent for two breaks, to meet students at the school, an information panel and a bulletin board.

It also has another primary function, which is to detect, collect and transmit the demands and needs of youth.

The task of youth correspondent for bringing the information gathered in the institution where he performs his duties as correspondent and forward it to the Youth Institute and the local Informajoven, keep up to date and ordered the media and other media (information boards, newsletters, brochures, etc.) and to know the young man, with claims that the information in these brackets is for them, cooperate in achieving the objectives of the program in which it participates and to respect the internal rules of the institutions to develop activity, to transfer between the correspondent and Youth Institute of cases which by their special complexity can not attend in person, attend coordination meetings to be convened, as well as training courses organized by the Institute of Youth, maintain and meet in person the youth information point for at least two hours a week (on fixed days and hours) to respond to inquiries from young people and work directly with the head of the institution where he develops his work Junior Correspondent.

The purpose of the program is twofold: on one hand, report and disseminate the social, economic and cultural, in terms of youth, are available in the area of our region and, secondly, to gather concerns and preferences youth of the area in which it moves.

The program aims to decentralize the information provided to young people access to it, provide youth the opportunity to inform their peers and thereby to further the personal growth and civic participation, promoting values education for learning to learn think and develop critical thinking and facilitate youth access to services offered by the Institute for Youth, broadcast, institutes, libraries, museums and universities, information generated by the Institute of Youth and local Informajóvenes that collecting data of the activities organized by or for young people from different institutions that developed the program to reach as many youth as possible, enhance local Informajóvenes, promoting equality between urban and rural youth by extending that information to towns and villages that previously lacked it.

It also aims to expand the Regional Network of Youth Information Services in the SIJ of the participating institutions.
