The councilman of Commerce and the Merchants' Association, in presenting the plan of boosting the retail (23/10/2008)

The councilman of Commerce, Ildefonso Jimenez and Merchants Association ExpoBoda Jumilla, last week attended the presentation of the Plan to Promote Retail Distribution Sector of the Region of Murcia 2008-2010.

This boost to the retail trade with an investment of 23,642,000 euros.

Ildefonso Jimenez has made a positive assessment of the plan and reminded all traders who "have a council that is available for all types of aid information and procedures that have to do."

As explained by the Minister of Universities, Companies and Research, Salvador Marín "the plan will focus on boosting trade in the region, looking at investments in urban planning, new technologies and training of employees and owners."

Salvador Marín was accompanied at the event, held in the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, Julio José Lorenzo, CEO of Commerce and Handicrafts, who presented the 59 measures that are part of this plan of momentum and with an investment of 23,642,000 euros from 2008 to 2010 as this year's investment of 2.8 billion euros.

The measures envisaged in this new plan provides for the establishment and promotion of open shopping centers, the establishment of a quality plan, modernization and enhancement of municipal markets, the introduction in commerce of new information technologies and communication, developing a white paper on trade and the creation of a regional observatory of the sector, among others.

It also highlights the organization of trade fairs outlet in different municipalities of the Region of Murcia, upon request and organize together.
