Painting on canvas, computer, theater and lectures are are the activities of women in the coming months (22/09/2008)

There are various activities that make up the program to the Department of Women for the coming months.

These sizes and courses have been recently presented by the Women Councillor Fuensanta Olivares with the President and Secretary of ADEMUR "La Jara" (Rural Women's Associations in the Region of Murcia), María Dolores Garrido Abellán and Ascen respectively.

Fuensanta Olivares began by thanking the support and assistance received from ADEMUR.

For the program of activities, today began the process of "fabric paintings" in Las Encebras and Oct. 6 will begin the course "Introduction to Computers" in Torre del Rico.

These courses are completely free.

On the first ADEMUR secretary said that "what we want to do is the stencil technique on canvas and paint brush, very simple technique, colorful and satisfying."

As for computer courses, it is "vital and necessary activity, especially in the hamlets and small towns as a means of communication that allows us to be informed, updated and innovative in the way of seeing and energizing things of life, especially with internet management, "said Garrido Ascen.

"Learning to play with children" is another activity that will be developed.

Begin on September 29 and will take place at the premises of CIFE.

Also continues to develop the Program for Promotion of women's health.

The next lecture-conference will focus on "women's mental health", by Francisco Pérez Crespo, psychiatrist coordinator of Mental Health Center of Jumilla, Yecla.

This conference will take place on September 24, at four in the afternoon at the Hotel Monroe.

Another activity of the council is a course that will give the writer Ana Maria Tomás, organized in collaboration with the Association of Women and Family Support to be developed in the People's University from 23 September.

Finally, Olivares recalled that also is scheduled to take a theater course for women which will be taught by Paco Jumillano "The beautiful."

"For this activity we do not have sufficient numbers, so we encourage women to sign up," said the mayor.

This course will also build on VHS with the possibility of a performance at the Teatro Vico.

In the presentation of this program of activities, the president of the Association of Rural Women in the Region of Murcia commented that "the goal of this partnership is to bring the rural all it costs to provide more work for the difficult access and representing distances for rural women. "

María Dolores Abellán expressed satisfaction and pride in the "establishment of three new partnerships in Jumilla and invite the other women to get in touch with them and participate."

Ascen Garrido, as secretary of this group and person responsible for providing various courses for women appreciated the cooperation of the City of Jumilla.

He also stressed that "these workshops and courses can serve as an alternative in economic activity, especially in rural women are more difficult a job opportunity."
