Councilman José Luis Monreal Sports together with the Head of the Sports Francisco Crespo have submitted various activities organized by the Department for the summer 2008, including two of the most important activities such as Soccer Tournament 7 and 3x3 Basketball Tournament .
As for the Tournament III Football League Local 7 this year are new, it has changed the format, some previous years was like 24 hours of football and this year is organized as a league.
This league has been very well received with the participation of 30 teams in the general category, 6 teams in the veterans category and 6 teams in the cadet category.
This tournament will start on Monday 23 June.
Importantly, the games will be played on weekdays, except for a weekend.
José Luis Monreal also unveiled 3x3 Basketball Tournament "Ciudad de Jumilla".
The deadline for team registration is open until June 23 and the draw for teams will be held on Wednesday 25 June.
The council has encouraged the basketball fans to participate in this tournament.
The head of Sports also announced the opening of public swimming pools for next weekend.
Monreal has highlighted the significant effort undertaken fixing and repairing nearly all of the pools and facilities, "which will be able to check users who use the service this summer."
One of the innovations in these facilities is safety, for it will be installing two security cameras connected to the Municipal Police and more time crowd, will have private security and local police visits.
For his part, head of Sports said that for the summer courses began pre-registration and closed on Friday 13 June.
After the draw carried out since last June 16 the inscriptions are being formalized.
These swimming courses in 2008 are three shifts: from June 23 to July 7, from 8 to 22 July and 23 July to 7 August.
The schedule of courses will be from 9 to 13:30 h.
Francisco Crespo noted that there is still space available for the swimming lessons.
He added that the term is open for registration of multi-sports summer schools, consisting of four schools divided into two shifts: from 1 to 15 July 16 July 31, from 9 am to 11 pm and 11.30 am 13 h, will be Monday through Thursday at the Municipal Sports Pavilion and the Polideportivo Municipal "La Hoya".
It is also open within Tennis Summer School, which will be during the month of July in the morning.
Finally, José Luis Monreal made a very positive assessment of the Triathlon "Ciudad de Jumilla" held on 15 June, "the first impressions are good athletes, they liked the changes that have been made in terms of bicycle tours and career. "
Monreal thanked the collaboration of the Local Police and Civil Protection, as well as Athletic Club Triathlon Club Jumilla and Jumilla.
