The Jumilla Low Brass Festival will be a national reference for euphonium and tuba (02/07/2015)

Low Brass Jumilla continue as national reference only event of these unique features for euphonium and tuba.

Yesterday was presented at the Teatro Vico the fourth edition, which starts on Friday and lasts until Monday 6. The details of it were released by festival director, David Abellan, Councillor for Culture, Maria Pilar Martinez Chairman AJAM (Jumillano Association Friends of Music), Esteban Moreno, as organizers of the Festival.

The primary objective of the event will be to bring these instruments to the public through various activities ranging from the educational field, the compositional and interpretation, aimed at students and teachers, who will find a junction Jumilla during these four days.

Maria Pilar Martínez said in the press conference presentation: "The great musical tradition that has historically Jumilla is perfectly complemented with the Festival, which is also already a reference throughout the country."

Councillor for Culture would also highlight the high level of guest artists and the importance of twinning to be carried out in concert Sunday between Jumilla and Tuba Low Brass Jaialdia, a conference held in Azpeitia (Guipuzcoa ).

For his part, David Abellán reviewed all acts that are planned for the four days of the Festival and reported that the number of students will reach their twenties.

Esteban Moreno David Abellán publicly congratulated for having achieved a new edition of the Festival and also to have a resident band will make its presentation during the concert on Sunday.

It is Simphonic Jumilla Low Brass Band.

The Festival will start tomorrow at 22.00 with an opening ceremony that will take place in the cellar of the restaurant San Agustin.

On Saturday, at the same time it will be held the evening Low Brass in the Plaza de Santa María with a concert by Kepa Junquera (winner of a Latin Grammy for the best folk album), which will be accompanied by David Abellan, Daniel Férriz and Juanjo Munera.

Tickets are priced at 12 euros and include catering.

They can be purchased in advance at Café Paris or at the box office the day of the event itself.

On Sunday, at 20.00, the Vico Theatre will host a concert by teachers entries 5, 4 and 3 euros.

The Festival will close with a concert on Monday to celebrate student at the Conservatory Julian Santos, from 19.00 and free admission.
