Abril recorded the best figure of unemployment in the last five years (08/05/2015)

Since last March has been stringing a drop in the number of unemployed people in the municipality marked by a significant decline in April.

The number of unemployed in April is the lowest in the last five years.

To find a similar figure would have to go back to 2010, the number of unemployed people was even higher than in April this year, thus following the national trend.

In Jumilla, by age group;

42 people under 25 found work last month;

160 people, aged between 25 and 44 and 63 people are over 45.

By nationality, 198 people of whom they found work are of Spanish nationality;

18 members of the European Union and other countries outside the European Union.

By sector, 167 people in the agricultural sector, followed by the services sector with 48 people and 30 construction sector and the rest belong to the industrial sector and of no activity.

Nationally, 118 923 people have found jobs in April, the largest drop in unemployment in this month historical series, for in the last seven years, unemployment had declined on average in April by 25,000 people.

There are 351 285 fewer unemployed than a year ago, the biggest annual drop in the whole historical series, with annual reduction rate which stands at 7.5%.

With this decline, the total number of unemployed stood at 4,333,016 people, 89 343 registered unemployed less than in December 2011.
